Statement of Faith

About God

We believe in one true and living God, Creator and Lord of the universe, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

About Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, co-equal with the Father in majesty. glory, essence, and attributes. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He was raised bodily from the dead after three days to demonstrate His victory over sin and death, and He will personally and visibly return in power and glory to restore God's kingdom in righteousness, holiness, and peace.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son in majesty, glory, essence and attributes. He lives in every person from the moment they accept Jesus as their savior, and provides the Christian the power for living a life pleasing to God, the ability to understand spiritual truth, and spiritual gifts to be used in service to God.

About the Bible

We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is without error in all it's teachings, and is the supreme and final authority in all matters of belief and conduct.

About Human Beings

We believe that all people are lost sinners and cannot have a relationship with God or eternal life apart from repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.

About Salvation

We believe that forgiveness of sin, reconciliation to God, and eternal life is a free gift from God, based on Jesus Christ's death on the cross. We cannot earn our salvation by good works or self improvement. Salvation comes when a person confesses and repents of their sin and recives Jesus as their personal Savior. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.

About the Christian Life

We believe that once we have recieved salvation we have been born anew, and are given everything necessary to live a life of holiness that honors God. We are called to the life long journey of growing in our faith. We will never be "perfect", but are exhorted to mature in our faith, which is evidenced by an ever deepening intimacy with God and fruitful service in His kingdom work.

The Church

We believe in the universal church which is comprised of all born again believers in Jesus Christ around the world. We also believe in the local church which is a local group of believers who band together as a congregation to worship, grow in their walk with God, fellowship together as a spiritual family, and to use their spiritual gifts in unity to further God's kingdom. We believe that the two ordinances of the church are believer's baptism (by immersion in water) which is a public declaration of the reality of being born again, and the Lord's Supper in which the bread and juice symbolize the body and the blood of Jesus in His sacrifice on the cross for our sins.

The Personality of Satan

We believe that Satan is a person, who was the angel Lucifer, and who was cast out of heaven because of his prideful rebellion against God. Demons are those angels who followed Lucifer in his rebellion and were cast out of heaven with Lucifer. They are Satan's forces who carry out his evil directives against God and His church.

About the Eternal Destiny of Man

We believe that there are two possible eternal destinations for human beings - heaven or hell. Heaven is a real place where those who have trusted in Jesus Christ as Savior will live in the presence of God in perfect peace, goodness, and security forever and ever. Hell is a real place where those who reject Jesus Christ will be seperated from God and live in torment forever and ever.
